Reindeer Cookies

This is like a companion post to the Reindeer Sandwiches. It uses some of the same ingredients.

You will need:
Peanut Butter Slice and Bake Cookies (or you can make cookie dough from scratch)
M&M minis
small pretzels
gumdrops

Slice about a 1/4 inch slice of cookie dough and shape into a ball. Make a sort of teardrop shape, with the small end rounded. Lightly press the pretzels and M&M's into the dough. They look like this:

As you can see, they are very imperfect looking. They puff up after they bake. I baked them at 350 for 9 minutes. Before they were cool, I pressed a gumdrop (which I cut in half) into the warm cookie for the nose. Be sure to let them cool before removing from the cookie sheet.

These are so cute! The next time Reid spends the night with me, we will have to make reindeer sandwiches & cookies.

Reid is very blessed to have such a cute, sweet grandmother. I want to come spend the night, too.

I found your blog through Zimbio, you have some great crafty ideas. We are off to the store this morning to make the reindeer peanut butter cookies. Later I think I will make the candles and cranberries. Thanks for the great ideas.

I think you need to use some other animal. Reindeeer are kinda SEASONAL! Wouldn't want people thinking you only know one ANIMAL. Noah put alot more than just the Reindeeer on the ark(yes I was talking about the bible)

Mr Anonymous,
If you will go into my archives in October, you can find cookies that look like lions. I will make an effort to feature a bigger variety of animals in future posts. Thanks for your Biblical insight.
