The Aunt's Corner - Peggy

This is my Aunt Peggy. She has a husband, Johnny, three children, Rhonda, Connie, and Stan, two sons-in-law, David and Neil, four grandchildren, Chris, Shannon, Ryan, and Raleigh, and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Blaine. I spent alot of time at her house when I was growing up. My mom and dad were very close to them, and my Uncle Johnny reminds me of my dad, which is a great compliment. She always worked hard and has always been a very stylish dresser. She is in great shape and can outlast any 20 year old in her aerobics class. You go, Aunt Peggy. She's really fun to kid around with. One time we were eating dinner at the lodge in Lake Guntersville, and she went back for seconds and used the same plate. That was a big no-no at the lodge in Lake Guntersville. I very seriously told on her to the waitress and asked her if there was a penalty for it. The next thing we knew, two somber-looking security guards were tapping her on the shoulder, telling her she should not have used the same plate twice. Turns out the waitress liked kidding around as much as I did. She is wonderful, and I admire her very much, as I do all my aunts.
Here is her recipe for chocolate chip cake, which is FABULOUS!

Chocolate Chip Cake

2 cups plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
1-1/2 cups sugar
2 sticks butter or margarine
1 cup sour cream
2 eggs
2 tbsp milk
1 tbsp vanilla
1 6-oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
Cream together sugar and butter. Add sour cream, eggs, milk, and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients, then the chocolate chips. Do not beat, just stir and blend well. Grease & lightly flour a 10 inch bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Let cool completely before turning out.
I baked one so I could post how delicious it looks. Actually, it was mostly so we could eat it.
